Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026.

This policy explains what personal data Joina collects on its website and early access list, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights, under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, LGPD).

Who looks after your data

The data controller is [RAZÃO SOCIAL], CNPJ [CNPJ], based at [ENDEREÇO] (“Joina”). To talk about your data, including with our data protection officer, write to team@joina.cc.

What data we collect

We only collect:

  • what you give us when joining the list: your name, e-mail and the kinds of events you produce;
  • the website’s access logs: IP address, date and time, page visited and browser.

The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies, and loads no third-party tracking tools.

What we use it for

  • To let you know when early access opens and invite you to the platform.
  • To understand which kinds of events are waiting for Joina, so we can decide what to build first.
  • To send news about Joina, with a way to stop receiving it in every e-mail.
  • To keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations.

Legal bases

We process the list’s data with your consent, given when you sign up, and on the basis of our legitimate interest to send news about Joina and keep the website secure. Access logs are kept to comply with Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework (Law 12,965/2014).

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your data. It’s only shared with:

  • companies that provide services to Joina, such as hosting ([HOSPEDAGEM]) and e-mail delivery, which may only use it for that service;
  • authorities, when the law or a court order requires it.

International transfers

Some of these providers may store data outside Brazil. When that happens, the transfer follows the LGPD, with contractual guarantees that the data gets the same protection.

How long we keep it

  • The list’s data, until you ask to leave or the list no longer exists.
  • Access logs, for 6 months, as the Internet Civil Framework requires.

After that, the data is deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires keeping it longer.

Your rights

Under the LGPD, you can ask us at any time for:

  • confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed against the law, and deletion of data processed with your consent;
  • portability of your data to another provider;
  • information on who we share your data with;
  • withdrawal of your consent, and objection to any processing.

To do so, write to team@joina.cc. We reply within 15 days. You can also complain to Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to the data and providers with recognized security practices. No system is completely secure: if an incident may cause you significant risk or harm, we’ll tell you and the ANPD.

Minors

The website and the list are for event producers aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors; if it happens, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the last change; if it’s an important one, we’ll tell the people on the list by e-mail.
